Located in Southold, N.Y., Whale Rock rests about 300 feet offshore in the Long Island Sound.  Although Whale Rock is not the official name, at least not that I am aware of, it is the name used locally. Together the Sun Whale Rock and the Long Island Sound make for some of the most beautiful sunsets in the world.  This site is dedicated to capturing the beauty of these sunsets and presenting them to you.
